CEO & Director
My name is Kieron Shaun Edwards, and I am the Founder, CEO, and Creative Director of Black and White Theatre. I am a Bristol-based actor with experience across physical, traditional, improvised, immersive and community theatre, alongside work in voice acting, advertising, television and film.
My training and creative practice also include singing, clowning, dance and vocal performance, all of which continue to shape my approach to storytelling and performance-making. Passionate about authentic and inclusive theatre, I founded Black and White Theatre to create meaningful artistic experiences that celebrate diverse voices, empower communities and inspire the next generation of creatives.
Through Black and White Theatre, I am excited to share bold, honest and engaging productions that connect people through culture, creativity and shared experiences. This is only the beginning of an exciting creative journey, and I look forward to what’s to come. I want the organisation to become a platform for diverse voices, new ideas and positive social change.

As a Drama Teacher and Head of Performing Arts, I have helped young people develop confidence, creativity and a love of performance. Alongside teaching, my focus has remained on creating, directing and developing theatrical work, while mentoring performers throughout the creative process.
Theatre and performance have always been at the heart of who I am. After studying Theatre at Exeter University and completing my PGCE at Bath Spa University, I built a career in both education and the performing arts.
As a Drama Teacher and Head of Performing Arts, I have been fortunate to help young people grow in confidence, creativity and self-expression. Alongside teaching, I have continued to pursue my passion for directing, creating theatre and supporting performers throughout the rehearsal process.
My work is influenced by physical theatre, Brechtian practice and classic British comedy, all of which shape my approach as a theatre-maker.
I joined Black and White Theatre as Kieron’s business partner because I share its commitment to creating inclusive, community-driven theatre that gives a platform to underrepresented voices. I am passionate about fostering a creative space where people feel supported, inspired and empowered to tell their stories through performance.

Black and White Theatre is seeking a passionate, driven, and resourceful Producer to help shape the future of our company and the work we create.
We are looking for someone who believes in bold, meaningful theatre and has the energy to actively champion our productions from concept to performance. This role is ideal for a producer who is both strategic and hands-on: someone who can secure opportunities, build momentum, and push projects forward with confidence and enthusiasm.
A key part of the role will involve identifying and securing financial support for the company, including researching funding opportunities, preparing grant applications, and developing relationships with funders, sponsors, and partners. Alongside fundraising, we need someone who can act as a driving force behind our productions—helping move ideas into reality and ensuring projects maintain momentum at every stage.
The successful candidate will be proactive, highly organised, collaborative, and committed to supporting innovative theatre-making.
