LIVESTOCK

Livestock is a provocative new theatre production blending satire, humour, and emotional storytelling, the play explores toxic masculinity, identity, belonging, and the hidden cost of treating people as commodities.

The story follows a 16-year-old footballer from Northern England who signs a professional contract with a Premier League club and moves to London to live with a host family. As he enters the high-pressure world of elite football, where bodies are valued, judged, and traded, he begins to question the culture around him.

Living with his host mother and her daughter exposes him to perspectives that challenge the hyper-masculine environment he has been taught to navigate. Through these relationships, he begins to discover empathy, vulnerability, and solidarity in a world that often rewards the opposite.
